Location

Our 2004 conference site, July 21-25, is the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center a pleasant retreat/small conference center, located on Fullerton Parkway in the upscale Lincoln Park area of Chicago. Attractions of this location are: 20" bus ride to downtown Chicago with Art Inst., Field museum, Aquarium, Orchestra Hall, etc.; 10 minute walk to Lake Michigan and Fullerton Ave Beach, slightly longer walk or short bus ride to Lincoln Park, Zoo and Conservatory; also near De Paul University, artzi theatres, fine restaurants, etc

Meetings will be in one large meeting hall, plus two smaller "breakout" rooms holding 10 to 15 people, for afternoon conferences, etc. We will follow our traditional format of meeting from 8:30 to noon, afternoons free for optional activities and meeting again from 7:30 to 10:30.

Accommodations

There are 10 doubles rooms available (= 20 persons) @ $430 per guest, and 20 singles room @ $450 per guest, including all meals, including traditional Sat. night banquet. $50 discount for full registration received before April 1, 2004.

Rooms are also available at the center a few days before and after the conference @ $50/night/guest, with no meals. There are also about 30 free parking spaces in the enclosed lot for anyone wishing to drive.

There are phone jacks for internet connections in two conference rooms on the first floor, and Cell phones "may be used in non-public areas," and two conventional pay phones.

Travel

About 45 minutes Metra train ride plus 9 block walk or bus transfer from Fullerton stop to the Cenacle, from Midway Airport. Slightly longer (50 minutes) Metra train and same bus ride from OHare airport. Ticket would be $2.00 including bus transfer. Or airport van for about $20, if more than 1 person.
